I didn't know what labor felt like, and assumed that it would take longer than 3 hours to go from first contraction to pushing. Fortunately we only lived 5 minutes away from our chosen hospital, and the doctor probably did about the same thing that you did- sat back and watched as the baby was born, 15 minutes after arriving at the hospital. He even told me to catch her.

Love this quiz, though! I'm a doula now, and I'm totally afraid that the same thing will happen to one of my clients and I'll miss the birth!

I'm enjoying reading your blog, and that is a lot for me to say, since I tend towards the hippy-type that doesn't like doctors much. :)sara r.noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344900867722860530.post-22520428535630754032010-06-07T16:19:35.704-04:002010-06-07T16:19:35.704-04:00In the USA - Sometimes C is the best answer coming...In the USA - Sometimes C is the best answer coming from an OB RN that has worked in the american system... :)
You did good! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344900867722860530.post-11231922613936651112009-11-18T17:02:51.547-05:002009-11-18T17:02:51.547-05:00Haha.Haha.Dragonflyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12759938692575603663noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344900867722860530.post-62505319700398637442009-11-11T15:58:06.073-05:002009-11-11T15:58:06.073-05:00Holy pain threshold!Holy pain threshold!OMDGhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17937425894428802591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-344900867722860530.post-42977522901921269962009-11-11T08:04:16.744-05:002009-11-11T08:04:16.744-05:00I can't get past the 14 hours of labor. He delivered one on his own doorstep once, when a panicked husband made a last-minute midnight drive to his house.

I went to school with many kids he'd delivered, whose parents he'd also delivered.

Great post!Helenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07842890893365738906noreply@blogger.com
